Employment Survey

The Quarterly Employment Survey (QES) is conducted by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (DETI) to provide short-term employee jobs estimates for Northern Ireland as a whole.

The estimates available from the QES are an important economic indicator of trends in the whole economy. They are widely used by economists and economic commentators both within and outside Government in assessments of the state of the economy. They are also regularly used by the media, academics, market research companies, libraries, colleges of further and higher education and students.

For details of the latest QES results please see the Quarterly Employment Survey section under 'Surveys, Inquiries'. Please note that all employer returns are collated into industry classes using the 2003 Standard Industrial Classification (SIC03) to ensure that individual business returns remain confidential.

Employers that have been selected to take part in the survey can now complete their return on-line. If you currently take part in the survey and have the relevant access codes, please click below to enter the secure electronic survey system.

The Survey uses a secure connection to the Internet and requires 128-bit encryption. To use the Survey you will need to use Internet Explorer 5.5 or above.

As a means of improving the level of service that we currently offer through our on-line survey, we are carrying out a short satisfaction survey.

We would be grateful if you could take the time to complete this as your responses are an important part of this process.
