Decommissioning of Offshore Energy Installations
The Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform ( previously known as Department of Trade and Industry ) is consulting on proposals to strengthen the current decommissioning regimes to minimise the risks of liabilities falling on the UK taxpayer in the event of an operators' default. The consultation is open to 13 September 2007
