Economic Research
DETI operates a three-year Research Agenda which sets out key research priorities over the period and reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to high quality, up to date research.
The existing Research Agenda, covering the period 2008-11, has now been completed. The original document is available to view at the below link:
DETI Research Agenda 2008/09 - 2010/11 (PDF, 180 KB)
Four projects were published which focus on international best practice in key policy areas of competitiveness, innovation and employment. They are:
- Building Economic Competitiveness: Lessons from Small Peripheral European Economies
- Productivity, Innovation and Competitiveness in Small Open Economies
- The Changing Face of Innovation Policy: Complementing R&D Initiatives in Northern Ireland
- Promoting Investment and Increasing Employment Among the Economically Inactive: A Review of Best Practice
Individual research projects can be accessed under the respective headings on the left side menu bar.
A number of research projects carried out under previous Research Agendas are also available to download. Further information on each research project can be found by following the appropriate link.
A new Research Agenda for 2012-14 is currently being developed and will be published later in the year.
