The Department has published its response to the statutory consultation on proposed changes to the Northern Ireland Renewables Obligation (NIRO). Changes to the NIRO will be made by way of an amendment to The Renewables Obligation Order (Northern Ireland) 2009
The draft Renewables Obligation (Amendent) Order (NI) 2010 was laid in the NI Assembly on 1 March. The draft Order will be subject to approval by the Assembly before it can come into operation on 1 April 2010.
