"Reconnect will cease to accept applications after 31 March 2008, unless the entire budget allocated to Reconnect becomes committed in advance of this date. Should this occur, Reconnect will cease to accept applications on the date the budget is fully committed."
Importantly, however, it should be noted:
1. Applications which are received will only be entitled to grant when a letter of offer is issued.
2. Letters of offer will not be issued if there is insufficient funding in the budget.
3. Therefore it does not follow that getting an application in by the 31 March 2008, will guarantee a letter of offer.
4. When a letter of offer is issued, its terms will be honored by DETI.
5. There will be the standard time allowance (approx six months) to make installations on letters of offer issued after 31 March 2008.
6. Currently the funding situation is very close to be being fully committed.
7. It would be helpful if installers who know of installations NOT proceeding would inform Reconnect through 0800 023 4077.
