Strategic Energy Framework (2010)
The new SEF 2010 details Northern Ireland’s energy future over the next ten years or so and illustrates the key energy goals in terms of building competitive markets, ensuring security of supply, enhancing sustainability and developing our energy infrastructure. It also confirms the new and ambitious renewable electricity and renewable heat targets by 2020.

Strategic Energy Framework
On 30 June 2004 the Department published the Strategic Energy Framework for Northern Ireland. The Framework can be accessed below.
The development of the Framework was informed by a series of consultation exercises and the Energy Strategy Steering Group who assisted the Department in the development process. Copies of the earlier consultation papers are accessible by clicking on the "Consultations" link above.
