Public Appointments

The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment administers appointments to 4 Non-Departmental Public Bodies - Invest NI, the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, the Health & Safety Executive for Northern Ireland and the General Consumer Council for Northern Ireland.

DETI's procedures for making appointments are designed to comply with the Commissioner for Public Appointments, Northern Ireland (CPANI) Code of Practice.  We are committed to ensuring that appointments are made in a fair, open and transparent manner with merit as overriding principle.

DETI also, as far as is practicable, and with due regard to proportionality, assists with making appointments to the NI Science Park (NISP), Action Renewables and NICO within the spirit of the CPANI Code.
