Biomass Grandfathering
Earlier this year the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) published a consultation on grandfathering biomass under the Renewables Obligations and NI stakeholders were encouraged to respond to that consultation. DECC has now published the Government response to the consultation which can be accessed at this link:
Northern Ireland did not undertake a separate consultation exercise and DETI is studying the response before deciding if a separate consultation is required here. In the meantime, comments on the DECC response would be very welcome and should be sent to NIRO2011@detini.gov.uk
